My achievements for FY2022 to June 8, 2022

My Technical Proficiency is outstanding:

As of June 8, 2022, I have conducted 221 trainings for businesses and made presentations at 41 meetings, and spoke at 72 meetings in FY 2022. For my new job duty as the Community Navigator Pilot Program District Program Officer, I have coordinated 18 activities with the three CNPP Hubs: International Rescue Committee, Local Initiative Support Corp and National Urban League with 17 District Offices’ District Directors and District Program Officers. As District International Trade Officer, I made presentations at 38 events on Exporting Resources and Assistance.

Total of 268 events were collaborated with organizations in Queens, Manhattan, Westchester and Sullivan County, my assigned county. The Community Navigator Pilot Program activities were collaborated with the OED and OFO at the SBA HQs and the 138 Spokes in 17 states.

Communicating with various partners and customers, I initiated, planned and conducted the trainings to meet the needs of various communities and businesses. I keep learning about the new policies and procedure of all of the SBA COVID Relief programs and generate the Power Point files on the topics to help business community recover from the awake of COVID-19. I independently and accurately updated the guidance and information from the Office Hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays to deliver to the lenders, borrowers, accountants and business advisors and responded to inquiries effectively with no supervision required.

I consistently received positive feedback on the value of services rendered. I helped organizations and partners educate their clients and kept track of their achievements in financing and getting government contracts. Working with Federal, State and City agencies, I helped business community and non-profit organizations get comprehensive information of SBA Programs and assistance not limited to SBA’s programs and resource partners.

I acquired the knowledge and essential skills as an EDS, DITO, and CNPP District Program Officer, developed my network and data to analyze and integrate information to design the best trainings for the partners, communities and foreign countries. I also coordinate the monthly Emerging Leaders Alumni Roundtable hoping the graduates can continue the peer-to-peer education program.

My specialty is to clearly present the complex subjects to a wide variety of audiences and communities so that the desired outcomes are achieved.

2nd element: Customer Service is outstanding

Independently and accurately understand ambiguous situations and responded effectively with no supervision required. I effectively evaluated and addressed the needs of inter and external customers, provided timely, flexible and responsive services to customers. During the pandemic, I tried my best to learn the newest information from websites, trainings, Office Hours and colleagues to update the information to answer customers’ questions, and explain to the customers in details patiently.

I worked with the organizations in my assigned counties to provide detailed information on SBA’s programs and assistance. During and after the webinars, I answered questions and provided the contact information for different programs.

I consistently received positive feedback on the value of services rendered. I coordinated the events to meet partners and clients’ expectation and goals. I always sent the Power Point files to the event attendees after the webinars, and followed up with the progress and further needs.

I established and nurtured relations with federal, state, and local governments, nonprofits, and private sector organizations; deliver information and transfer knowledge to achieve results in collaboration.

For businesses and non-profit organizations that contacted me for their COVID RELIEF questions and problems, I worked with all of our resource partners, other District Offices and SBA HQs to provide specific assistance.

My Team Work and Collaboration are outstanding

Independently and accurately understand ambiguous situations and respond effectively with no supervision required, I made positive contributions to achieving SBA and NYDO goals and objectives to help businesses and communities. FY 2022 is still difficult and uncertain times for everyone, and I am thankful that I have worked with old and new partners to provide 268 events so far help the business community. I appreciate the opportunities to develop new partnership with many organizations and businesses didn’t know about SBA.

Thanks to the management team for all the support and assistance, I worked with SBA offices in other regions to conduct webinars in Chinese, with White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and with Korean, Native American and Hispanic organizations.

In March 2022, I had the new assignment to be the Community Navigator Pilot Program District Program Officer, to collaboration with three Hubs with their 138 Spokes and 17 SBA District Offices challenged me to be creative, organized and collaborative for this new program. I have conducted 18 activities and the will have the biggest events in July.

The mission of SBA is my goal, and I am very proud that I have been in this big family to help the business community.
